Public TV conceals some details of the events, avoids presenting resignation cases

During its November 18 newscasts the Public Television partially presented the question and answer session in the National Assembly: the report does not present the fact that the opposition MPs continue to boycott and do not participate in the sitting. Only the pro-government deputies and the Prime Minister were in the NA hall. The Public Television did not present that Colonel-General Movses Hakobyan had submitted a resignation letter from the post of the head of the military control service of the Ministry of Defense. It should be noted that the resignations of officials and deputies started on November 9. During this period, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan resigned. Ashot Ghulyan, Advisor to NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Environment Irina Ghaplanyan, Varag Siseryan Chief of Staff of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan also resigned from their posts.

“Media Advocate” initiative notes that the news outlet does not present the events in a comprehensive manner in its programs, mitigating the facts that will somehow harm the reputation of the authorities.
