The topic of the Russian program “Time will show” was the Artsakh issue

Օn September 30, the topic of the program “Time will show” (Время покажет) broadcast on the First Channel of Russia, was the situation in Artsakh and Armenia. The TV presenters were mostly neutral, one of them noted: “When women, children and the elderly are hidden in basements, they stop being representatives of Armenians, Azerbaijanis or any other nation, they are civilians who are being killed. We insist, this must be stopped.”

Arayik Stepanyan, a member of the presidency of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems was among the guests. He recalled the history and emphasized Turkey’s direct intervention.

Fouad Akhundov, the head of the foreign media department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, was contacted via videocall. He denied that the Turkish F-16 had hit the Armenian Su-25, calling the disseminated footage fake, adding that they do not have F-16s, that the Armenians are falsifying the history… To the question why they attacked, he answered that the Armenians opened fire on the civilians of Azerbaijan, they responded to the “provocation” in this way.

The host mentioned that foreign mercenaries were involved. The Baku representative answered that their population is 10 million, while the population of Armenia is 2 million, why do they need mercenaries? The host opposed: maybe because you do not want to lose your servicemen, I just ask. To the host’s question how much the hostilities will last, Fuad Akhundov answered that he does not know for sure, but the people of Azerbaijan demand to go till the end.

Political scientist Alexander Borodai recalled the history, noting that the fighting spirit of the Azerbaijani army has always been low, that without Turkish patronage Azerbaijan will not move forward and the international community should address Turkey.

In response to the incompetent analysis of political scientist Andrey Nikulin, the host reprimanded the guest, advising him not to try to look smarter, because that, makes him look stupid. He added that there are topics that he still has to explore before discussing them.
