“Media Advocate” Initiative was informed from the press publications that YSU Rector Gegham Gevorgyan had instructed to cancel the delivery of Hraparak daily to YSU.
Gegham Gevorgyan is, in fact, drawing divisions in the Armenian press and deprives YSU staff and students of equal access to information and Hraparak daily from information transmission right.
This is a step against the information dissemination; a clarification should be provided in this regard and the right of supply of Hraparak daily should be restored. We urge the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport to be consistent and to warn the head of the educational institution under his authority to refrain from applying double standards.
