Gagik Tsarukyan is not actively engaged in political processes

From 11 to 20 August, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan’s personality and activities.

35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 42 articles were declared, 18 of which were negative, 8 were positive and 22 were neutral.

The so called negative and positive ten-day periods vary for Gagik Tsarukyan. This week turned to be negative for the PAP leader, even though the number of positive articles is not small either.

The conflict between Gagik Tsarukyan and Arthur Harutyunyan continues. The news outlets note that Arthur Harutyunyan is Gagik Tsarukyan’s godchild. According to media outlets, Harutyunyan, who has left Armenia, is about to return, to set up a new business and, besides, he is going to file a lawsuit against Gagik Khachatryan.

Harutyun Harutyunyan, a lawyer of an international cargo transportation company “Daf Alco Trans”, told a news agency that Gagik Tsarukyan’s “Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory” company owes them more than 120 million drams.

Gagik Tsarukyan’s public activities and assistance provided by his foundation are also continuing.

In fact, Gagik Tsarukyan has not been actively engaged in political processes according to media: instead, past and present responses to MP’s business and public activity are presented to the public.
