Vahe Grigoryan’s propaganda on Public Television

From 20 June to 25 July, almost all Petros Ghazaryan’s guests were MPs, high-ranking officials and representatives of the executive branch of the “My Step” faction. From “My Step”, Ghazaryan hosted Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Heriknaz Tigranyan, Hayk Konjoryan, Artak Manukyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan, Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan, Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan, Deputy Head of the State Supervision Service (SSS) Rafael Zakaryan, Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan, Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition Gegham Gevorgyan, Head of the Migration service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development Armen Ghazaryan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, the Acting Head of the State Supervision Service Argishti Kyaramyan and the Prime Minister’s wife Anna Hakobyan.
During this period, the main emphasis has been on the judicial system. Judge Vahe Grigoryan, former military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan, member of “My Step” faction Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, historian, educator Vahram Tokmajyan, lawyer Karapet Badalyan touched upon this issue. Everyone’s opinion coincided with each other being sure about the crisis in the Constitutional Court, and the necessity of the Constitutional Court President’s resignation. Vahe Grigoryan’s actions were praised, while CC President Hrayr Tovmasyan’s actions were criticized. Petros Ghazaryan was trying to keep the balance and ask opposite questions when interviewing the guests, while the guests were unanimous on the issue, which could make the viewer feel that the public actually shares the point of the authorities on this very issue.
ArmTv’s political and news programs are, in fact, part of the propaganda campaign launched by the authorities to question the legitimacy of the Constitutional Court and its current president.
“Media Advocate” initiative once again urges the Public Television to review unilateral information policy, present all the existing public opinions: finally the Public TV survives by public means.
