From 21 to 30 June, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan’s personality and activities.
35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 250 articles were declared, 9 of which were negative, 11 were positive and 230 were neutral.
During our monitoring period positive and negative articles on Anna Hakobyan are almost equal. Positive articles have been written due to the collaboration between Dzakh Harut and Anna Hakobyan’s Foundation, though negative articles about the same fund still continue to be published. Particularly, Mrs. Hakobyan’s statement, according to which the transfer of the robbed money to the foundation is considered normal has not been forgotten yet. The media outlets claim that after Anna Hakobyan’s words, an investigation should’ve been followed.
One of the news outlets asked where are the probable investments and answered: “Anna Hakobyan will probably know whose fund receives investments”.
The news outlets also wrote that a former soldier owning a large family, tried to meet Anna Hakobyan but got rejected.
Actually, Anna Hakobyan’s foundation is still unable to get a reputation of a charitable foundation. This can be a cause of incorrectly selected marketing tactics.
