Lena Nazaryan is not in the spotlight of media outlets

From 11 to 30 June, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan’s personality and activities. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 111 articles were declared, 28 of which were negative, 14 were positive and 69 were neutral.

Instead of a usual ten-day monitoring period, a twenty-day monitoring period was chosen for Lena Nazaryan this time. The reason for this is that Lena Nazaryan is not in the spotlight of media outlets, and she, in fact, is not particularly active in politics. Her name is mainly mentioned referring to this or that official meeting when she is a part of the delegation.

During the monitoring period the meeting of the CC board took place. Lena Nazaryan was not among the candidates and this caused controversy and discussions. The media outlets noted that Mrs. Nazaryan was pushed out. The fact that Lena Nazaryan and some of the CC members were not included in the CC Board, news agencies titled in the following way: “The Soros wing is out of the game. There is a new tension in the CC.”

The idea raised by Lena Nazaryan at the CC congress was not definitely perceived as well. Lena Nazaryan stated: “There are still forces that try to somehow direct citizens.”

We learned from the news outlets that after the visit to Japan, Lena Nazaryan had health issues and the return to Armenia was postponed.

“Media Advocate” initiative wishes Lena Nazarian health and quick recovery.
