From 1 to 10 June, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan’s personality and activities. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 45 articles were declared, 4 of which were negative and 41 were neutral.
Mrs. Nazaryan is not a matter of interest for online media. This is explained by Lena Nazaryan’s passive political activity. Positive articles are missing. Mrs. Nazaryan is not the first among the CC (Civil Contract) political team representatives who is being accused by media of sponsorship. According to media reports, Maria Babayan, is a contender to become the director of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center SNCO. Babayan is Lena Nazaryan’s husband’s sister. Narek Babayan by the way is an acting chairman of the Department of State Property Management and the member of the newly elected board of the CC. The press claims that Arayik Harutyunyan’s “favourite candidate” is Narek Babayan’s sister. According to media, Lena Nazarian interceded for her to Arayik Harutyunyan.
