Praising the authorities and “crushing” the opposition

The Public Television of Armenia continues the policy of praising the authorities and the policy of “crushing” the opposition. Petros Ghazaryan hosted the representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) Supreme Body Ishkhan Saghatelian on May 2, in the final report of the news broadcast. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3x9APDubLo). The topic of the meeting was the announcement issued by the ARF Supreme Body several days ago.

“For a force which was left out of institutional political processes, is it adequate to become a leading political party?”, “For a long time the education sector has been under ARF control and in the face of education, we have a very bad situation,” Petros Ghazaryan said. If for ARF Prime Minister’s announcements are worrying, according to Ghazaryan, they are nothing but “clear political theses”, and there is an answer to the campaign against national and spiritual values: “We are a free country”.

During the April 23 interview with the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Eduard Aghajanyan, Aghajanyan presented the list of events dedicated to the “Day of the Citizen” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lbj7qjW2kpg).

The only provocative question of the program was the following: “Because of the press, 3 people resigned in the office, what is right, what is exaggeration, what is the reality?” This means that in case of any possible answer, by getting Aghajanyan’s comment, Ghazaryan expects to get the idea of reality.

If Saghatelyan’s interview ends with the line “We end our program by  crushing perversed values,” the end of the interview with Aghajanyan is as follows: “So, we  end our program without intrigues and conspiracies.  During holidays, we are used to eating and drinking, while here we have events, discussions, and culture.”
