One of them is wrong

From April 26 to May 2, 2019, the “Media Advocate” Initiative followed the online media reports on the personality and activities of the State Control Service (SCS) head David Sanasaryan and National Security Service (NSS) head Arthur Vanetsyan.

Taking into consideration the corruption scandal over David Sanasaryan, more than 170 news agencies have been monitored this time.

1677 articles has been declared.

The corruption scandal started when Health Minister Arsen Torosyan reported to the NSS after which high-ranking officials of the SCS were arrested. In its turn, the SCS reported to the Minister of Health, by reason of which the Deputy Minister was arrested. This “bilateral shooting” would last long if the NSS did not immediately accuse the head of the SCS, David Sanasaryan.

At the moment, according to the prime minister’s decision, David Sanasaryan’s has been suspended of the office. The monitoring results show that even the pro-government press has negative attitude against David Sanasaryan, and most of the negative articles are written by them. It may be noted in positive articles that both former activists and representatives of the Citizen’s Decision (CD) party are supporting David Sanasaryan on the social networks and in the news outlets.

Positive and negative articles on Artur Vanesyan are almost equal. Most of the negative articles have been formed due to the activity of the CD party. The latter is also accused of starting a campaign against Gagik Tsarukyan. Some of the negative articles on Arthur Vanesyan are also linked to former officials who are declared wanted.

“Old insiders” do not spare each other and almost all the resources have been put into action, so as they can defend their honor and prove their rival’s guilt. One thing is clear if the NSS head is right, Sanasaryan is wrong, or vice versa.
