From 11 to 20 March, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the President of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan’s personality and activities. 34 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 474 articles were declared, 53 of which were negative, 6 were positive and 415 were neutral.
The results of the study show that the interest in Ararat Mirzoyan’s personality and activity has grown in comparison with the previous ten days.
Monitoring shows that most of the negative articles are related to the activity of Ararat Mirzoyan’s wife and the hidden details of the meeting of the President of the National Assembly with the President of Georgia. It may be stated that the public and the media sharply react to the facts of hiding information and information manipulations undertaken by the officials.
