A large number of negative articles have been published on the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. The mother of April war hero Armenak Urfanyan noted that she sees different problems in the sphere. According to her, every single day they hear that soldiers’ parents need help and that they need a lot of money to improve the state in Yerablur military cemetery. “Whoever you take to Yerablur to do some work, they demand such amount of money that you get puzzled, then you wonder, the sake of who did these guys sacrificed their lives for? We say we want a water system, they say it costs this much: that very moment is very disappointing. I set up the foundation for the dead soldiers and the officers who are on the front lines and need our help. Last year the Ministry of Defense promised to solve the problem of the water system, the minister told it would be in a week, but there is no news so far.”
According to the NSS statement, 85 tons of diesel fuel was stolen from the military unit N from July to December 2019. The wanted person was taken to a penitentiary.
According to one of the publications, the Ministry of Defense did not report at least 5 cases of death in 2019.
