Petros Ghazaryan did not ask the most important question

On January 13, Petros Ghazaryan’s guest on Public TV was Argishti Kyaramyan, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee. The latter was the head of the NSS during the war. Petros Ghazaryan referred to a number of accusations against him, but did not ask the most important question: why did he resign from the post of NSS head. Argishti Kyaramyan calmly answered the questions related to issuing Armenian passports to 1400 Armenian-speaking Azerbaijanis, transferring gold and cash in cash-in-transit cars on the day of the fall of Shushi, pursuing anti-Russian policy and revealing Russian agents but he did not accept his share of guilt in the raised issues, instead accused Arthur Vanetsyan. Kyaramyan told that he left Shushi not with a CIT van, but with a golden Nissan together with Seyran Ohanyan.

“Media Advocate” initiative considers the interview weak. The person who held the position of the head of the NSS should have been asked the most important question: why he resigned, under what circumstances and under whose auspices he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee so quickly. The issue remained obscure to the public. Petros Ghazaryan always stands out with sharp questions, sometimes pressing the guests to get the answers to his questions, but he was very passive during this interview.
