Azatutyun TV did not present the incident between the Prime Minister and the priest in Syunik, as well as the Ombudsman’s statement in that regard. The media outlet did not touch upon the fact that YSU lecturers, scientists and professors had informed that they would join today’s strike demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, which has already begun.
“Media Advocate” initiative notes that Azatutyun TV often bypasses some topics of public interest, presenting mainly the views of the authorities. Such quality journalism does not contribute to raising public awareness, moreover, it has a negative impact on the rating of RFE/RL’s Armenian Service.
