Petros Ghazaryan interrupted the guest, mocked him, did not allow finish his thoughts

On December 18, Petros Ghazaryan’s guest on Public TV was the chairman of the Christian Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Khosrov Harutyunyan. The party of the latter is among 16 parties. Petros Ghazaryan was emotional; he was regularly interrupting the guest, was not allowing him to finish his remarks and was mocking.

Khosrov Harutyunyan presented facts and reminded of the statements made during the war by the Prime Minister․ “The Prime Minister announced at the government sitting that speaking with Armenia in the language of force has no prospects. This was announced when he was aware of what was happening back then, at least based on the report of his Chief of General Staff. Besides, I am ready to die for my homeland, even if we lose, we will not accept that we lost. I have always followed the official news – “we shall win”, “we are winning”, I really believed in that.”

Petros Ghazaryan noted․ “The opposition had a thousand channels to find out what was really happening.” Khosrov Harutyunyan answered: “After the meeting with the extra-parliamentary forces on the 10th of this month, the opposition made a statement: we offered the Prime Minister to set up an operative headquarters, involving former powerful forces, including the prime ministers. Thus, we were ready to assume the political responsibility or share the responsibility of the Prime Minister. After all this, the Prime Minister had to do two things: apologize for not succeeding, resign, thus creating favorable conditions for further internal political developments. It was necessary to stop the hostilities for not having so destructive yet humiliating conditions.”

Then Khosrov Harutyunyan enumerated the failures of Nikol Pashinyan’s government. Petros Ghazaryan interrupted։ “The previous authorities failed, say that too.” The commentator insisted that Pashinyan was not involved in corruption processes. The politician was surprised: “Did not he deal with corruption? Systematic corruption got a legitimate opportunity to exist during Nikol Pashinyan’s tenure.” The commenter mocked: “Are you serious?” Khosrov Harutyunyan continued: “Please tell me, purchases from one single source, are corruption cases or not?” The commentator replied: “Of course not, we have to look at the circumstances.” The guest continued: “Purchases from one source are the main source of kickbacks. During the tenure of this government, 70% of purchases were made from one single source, and I do not want to talk about other facts.” “Didn’t such things happen back then?”, “Whatever, let it be as you say”. The guest kept asking the host not to interrupt him and to listen.
