Nikol Pashinyan remains the most criticized politician

From December 3 to 6, 2020, the “Media Advocate” Initiative followed online media reports on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s personality and activities. 10 news agencies were monitored: Hraparak.am, Yerkir.am, Aravot.com, News.am, Tert.am, Panorama.am, Aysor.am, Azatutyun.am, Armlur.am and Yerevan.Today

According to the monitoring, 698 articles were published on 10 selected websites regarding Nikol Pashinyan. 479 articles of which were negative, 11 were positive and 208 were neutral.

Nikol Pashinyan remains the most criticized politician in the country. He is being criticized for the situation in the country.

Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF – Dashnaktsutyun) representative Gegham Manukyan, referring to Nikol Pashinyan and the tripartite agreement with Russia, according to which most of Artsakh is under the control of Azerbaijan, wrote: “At least Ter-Petrosyan knows very well about the bloodthirsty nature of the failed journalist-prime minister, as he was the “beneficiary” of March 1: the unproven organizer and the caring father of it. In an attempt at self-purification, today Ter-Petrosyan tries to not explicitly warn the public and keep away from possible cruel actions of the government, stating that “let no impression be created that with this article I oppose Vazgen Manukyan and support Nikol Pashinyan. Considering the disgraceful and humiliating defeat of Armenia and Artsakh, the Pashinyan regime must leave immediately.”

The first President of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, referring to the situation, wrote that Nikol Pashinyan should leave power: “It is obvious that Pashinyan and his team show no willingness to relinquish power.”

Nikol Pashinyan’s children are in Canada, at Arsine Khanjyan’s house. Narek Samsonyan, President of the “Civic Consciousness” NGO, wrote about this on his Facebook page։ “They constantly state about children; they have been in Canada for a long time. The scope of their defilement has no limits. “They have been repeating since yesterday, that “Ahhh, come on, the opposition has scared Nikol’s children,” Samsonyan noted.

Regularly reports appear in the press that this or that state official and the deputy leave the team and resign, thus expressing their disagreement with the government. According to media reports, Charentsavan city council as well as most of the communities of Syunik region have joined the demand for Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation.

The parliamentary and the extra-parliamentary forces are demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation too and are constantly criticizing him.

According to information disseminated by media and on the Internet, the situation is tense in the border area of Syunik region, where the Azerbaijani side regularly provokes, while the authorities of the Armenian side remain silent, which, in its turn, raises a big wave of protests.
