Petros Ghazaryan: I do not care about the law

On November 15, Petros Ghazaryan’s guest on Public TV was the leader of the “Bright Armenia” party Edmon Marukyan. Petros Ghazaryan made an incorrect formulation: “There is a question for the opposition as well. You said that you went to Artsakh, saw the situation and realized that you were losing. Not only you, not a single oppositionist said that he possesses such information, and appealed to the people that this government is deceiving, prolongation of the war every day is the death of a soldier, let’s stop, this is a public demand.” Marukyan noted: “I said this to the Prime Minister, if I told the people, that would be a violation of the law, the laws were such that it was impossible to give any other information than the official one, but in all my messages I called for an end to the war as soon as possible.” The commentator continued: “So you knew that every day we have a meaningless death, and you thought about the law? I don’t care about the law.”

“Media Advocate” initiative notes that such an attitude towards the law has led the country to a humanitarian catastrophe. Let us remind Petros Ghazaryan that every word said during the war was restricted and suppressed, the houses and editorial offices of media representatives were visited, they were threatened, for 44 days it was announced that we would win, moreover, we are winning. Edmon Marukyan spoke about this, mentioned that he sees the solution in the resignation of the Prime Minister who became a symbol of defeat. He noted that a transitional government should be formed, which will try to bring the country out of the humanitarian catastrophe in a few months, and then special elections will be held. The Prime Minister has no trust in him anymore.
