1 ․ To what extent do Facebook and Instagram stories help and serve the purpose these days? Is there a need to share them?
It is very difficult to work with information in these hard times, but the fact is that the stories are actually very good tools for young people to inform and warn, as kids generally check the stories more than read the posts on social networks. So, one should try to disseminate information on all possible channels.
2․Why don’t they block Tik Tok? What should not be posted?
There are various calls to block it. Although it is not officially announced that Tik Tok is blocked, there is an impression that it is being regularly blocked and works very slowly. I think they try to weaken the spread of Tik Tok in Armenia, because it is really uncontrollable. There is a psychological problem regarding Tik Tok: many people want to become famous and are ready to do anything for it, starting from spreading misinformation and sharing stupidity. In general, when we speak about what one should do and what one should not spread, there is one certain thing: nothing of a military nature should be disseminated, even if you are not in the army. A very simple example: the Anti-aircraft warfare hits the drone in Abovyan; it should not be spread, because it reveals the positions of the Anti-aircraft warfare. Second, one should not turn into a part of an information chain․ If you do not know exactly who the source of the information is and it is not verified, simply do not share it.
3․ How would you evaluate the work of our media? What do they write in foreign media, which side do they support? What shortcomings did you notice?
The main shortcoming, we have to deal with, has always been the translations, we translate late. Azerbaijanis have a lot of Russian-language press, Russian is the primary language, they have well-developed English-language press as well. Now we have a positive change in that regard, many translators are engaged. This time it is vivid that the press works very vigilantly, stupid things do not appear on media outlets. Our official information is disseminated very operatively. We have brought about 200 journalists to the front line, while Azerbaijan blocks the entry of journalists and creates good conditions for us. The involvement of Turkey and the Islamists has created a very favorable condition for us, this has become an international conflict for many, it, naturally, helps us.
