Early in the morning, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale military operation against the Artsakh Republic. The Armenian media try to provide operative-comprehensive information on the Azerbaijani aggression to the population of Armenia, Artsakh and the international community. Meanwhile, the Armenian Service of RFE/RL is actually circulating hostile propaganda theses, questioning the official statements of the RA Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Artsakh Defense Army with the phrase “Armenia says that Azerbaijan has attacked Karabakh.”
“Media Advocate” initiative considers unacceptable the working style of the media outlet operating in the territory of Armenia, which is actually in a state of war. “Media Advocate” urges RFE/RL’s Armenian Service to remain in the field of official information policy, to refrain from circulating Azerbaijani propaganda theses in the Armenian media field.
