Public TV does not cover protests taken place in the country

The citizens who want to leave for Russia have been on a hunger strike for two days now: they demand a meeting with the Prime Minister. Օn September 24, the Public TV’s News Service did not refer to the complaint of the citizens who are on a hunger strike near the government building.

Citizens consider the decision of the Russian government to be offensive. The latter decided to open air borders for all EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) member states, except Armenia. On September 24, representatives of the “For Social Justice” Party also gathered outside the government building, speaking out against credit organizations.

“Media Advocate” Initiative considers such biased coverage unacceptable. Public Television must be impartial and unbiased, present the most important events in the country, and put the public interest above political preferences. We regularly notice that Public Television bypasses or presents protest actions as mild as possible, trying to conceal citizens’ dissatisfaction with the authorities.
