Azatutyun TV’s report was unilateral

Azatutyun TV’s August 15 newscast referred to the sitting of the specialized commission on constitutional amendments, during which it was decided to maintain the parliamentary model of government, but to renounce the article of a stable majority. In this regard, the journalist had made a 5-minute report based on the speech of Daniel Ioannisyan, a member of the commission as a civil society representative. The report was unilateral, the opinion of any other representative of the commission was not presented. It should be noted that representatives of the NA opposition fractions are also included in the commission. The journalist was obliged to present both for and against opinions. “Media Advocate” initiative urges Azatutyun TV to observe journalistic principles.
