From 21 to 31 July, 2020, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan’s personality and activities.
35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 213 articles were declared, 6 of which were negative, 3 were positive and 204 were neutral.
Negative articles were published on RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Referring to Zohrab Mnatsakanyan’s interview with France 24, political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan, noted: “First of all, I am talking about Turkey’s attempts to get involved in the Artsakh issue and now we can say even about the prospect of it. A question that obviously worried the French journalist more than our so-called foreign minister. The poor man could not get even a half-word from Mnatsakanyan condemning Turkey’s activity the way it supposed to.”
The article according to which Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in an interview with the authoritative Israeli “Jerusalem Post” criticized the fact that Israel sells weapons to official Baku, adding that Israel should immediately stop selling lethal weapon to Azerbaijan was positive.
