No positive articles were published on Zaruhi Batoyan

From 1 to 10 May, 2020, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan’s personality and activities. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 87 articles were declared, 7 of which were negative and 80 were neutral.

No positive articles were published on the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan. The Lanzarote Convention (Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse), which was adopted today by the RA National Assembly with 79 votes in favour is already being criticized by the society. According to the publications, the convention is problematic and contains LGBT community propaganda. The publication notes: “We consider it necessary to remind that Lara Aharonyan received a lot of grants from Soros for implementing “sexual “and LGBT- related programs in schools and elsewhere. These same circles organized the discussion of the book “My body is private” with a sexually explicit topic for children aged 3-6, which was, in fact, supported by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan, who, in her turn, has close ties with the above-mentioned circles.

During the question and answer session in the National Assembly, the deputy of the Bright Armenia fraction Armen Yeghiazaryan mentioned in his speech that they receive many applications about the drawbacks of the ministry headed by Batoyan. “When listening to your report, there is an impression that almost all the problems in the field have been solved, everything is fine, but the applications and complaints that we regularly receive from various fields on your activity prove the opposite. It is desirable that you talk a little bit about the drawbacks of last year, what problems you failed to solve, because looking at the general image, one may consider last year as a year of failure, because we have many problems that are not solved yet.” In response, trying to contradict, Batoyan asked the MP to point out the exact spheres where they have failed.
