During the NA sitting NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan stated that the majority of mass media had turned into mass provocations, and even became a preparatory stage for opening the box of insults. He also accused the media of working with the help of fakes.
In fact, Alen Simonyan targets his former colleagues and accuses them without mentioning their names. This is an obvious disrespect towards the media community. Such speeches violate the principles of freedom of speech and reduce Armenia’s role in the international arena.
“Media Advocate” initiative urges Alen Simonyan refrain from making such unfounded and unaddressed accusations, to respect the opinion of the opponents and not to divide the news outlets into insiders and outsiders.
