On March 2, Public Television Allocated 8 Minutes 30 Seconds to the Topic of the Constitutional Referendum

On March 2, the Public Television of Armenia, operating at the expense of taxpayers, allocated 8 minutes 30 seconds to the topic of the constitutional referendum, 3 minute 15 seconds of which were allocated to the supporters of the “NO” campaign, 2 minutes to the “YES” supporters and 3 minutes 15 seconds were neutral remarks. The Public TV also aired “YES” and “NO” campaign video clips of up to 1-minute duration each.

During the news issue of Public Television, the call of human rights defender, coordinator of the “NO” side of the campaign Ruben Melikyan, (2 minutes 15 seconds) was presented. The latter, referring to the news that the “NO” side is distributing money, urges law enforcement bodies to identify people who distributed money on behalf of “NO” headquarters or institute a case of defamation and slander.

“My Step” alliance MP Narek Zeynalyan noted in his speech (1 minute) that the normal course of the referendum campaign depends on the situation around the coronavirus. In the coming week, if the situation remains stable, the campaign will proceed normally.
