On February 25, the Public Television of Armenia allocated 17 minutes 10 seconds to the topic of the constitutional referendum, 3 minute and 24 seconds of which were allocated to the supporters of the “NO” campaign, 8 minutes to the “Yes” supporters and 5 minutes and 46 seconds were neutral remarks. The Public TV also aired “YES” and “NO” campaign video clips of up to 1-minute duration each.
The news issue of the Public Television referred to the speeches of RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov and RPA Youth Wing chairman Hayk Mamijanyan (2 minutes 20 seconds). Touching upon the issue of the Referendum, they mentioned that the RPA would not participate in the elections and described the entire referendum process as unconstitutional.
The fundraising event of the Civil Contract Party, has also been broadcast. (7 minutes). Nikol Pashinyan’s speech was quoted in which the Prime Minister stated that he would not allow any kind of election fraud during the referendum.
