The Prime Minister’s message of condolences has been disseminated only by some media outlets

The Prime Minister’s condolences message on the death of Georgi Kutoyan was disseminated only by certain media outlets. Actually, the media were not to blame for this, as the message was not posted on official websites of the government. The message of condolences was published only by media outlets whose journalists called and asked whether the Prime Minister has a message of condolences on Kutoyan’s death. Accordingly, the Prime Minister’s message was sent: “The Prime Minister of Armenia is sorry about the death of Georgi Kutoyan and expresses his condolences to the mourning family of the Kutoyans. He also guarantees that the government will do everything in its power to fully disclose the details of Georgi Kutoyan’s death.” It turns out that the message of condolences would not have disseminated if the journalists had not been interested in its existence.

“Media Advocate” Initiative states that this is the result of the improper work of the Prime Minister’s press service.

President Armen Sargsyan, former President Serzh Sargsyan, former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and other present and former officials expressed their condolences on Kutoyan’s death.
