From 21 to 30 November, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly Naira Zohrabyan’s personality and activities. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 183 articles were declared, 7 of which was positive, 2 were negative and 174 were neutral.

Armenian MP Naira Zohrabyan has again been positively assessed by media.

According to media reports, Naira Zohrabyan, chairman of the NA Committee on Human Rights, has introduced a bill that should help reduce the number of suicides in the army. During the session, Naira Zohrabyan also read a soldier’s letter addressed to his parents before committing a suicide. The letter was taken from Human Rights Defender’s report.

Journalist Ani Kochar attended the presentation of Naira Zohrabyan’s book titled “The Translator’s Wife”. Kochar noted that she had never seen Naira Zohrabyan so frank, sincere and loving. According to her, at least virtually, Mrs. Zohrabyan has been next to her in times of hardship.

According to media publications, the NA Standing Committee on European Integration is perhaps the most passive and inactive Committee in the Parliament. According to media, nothing has changed, this commission had previously been inactive as well, even when it was headed by PAP member Naira Zohrabyan, and currently even when it is headed by “My Step” MP, Prime Minister’s former spokesman Arman Yeghoyan, the situation remains the same.
