Azatutyun TV’s November 20 issue referred to Serzh Sargsyan’s speech at the European People’s Party (EPP) congress. The 4.30-minute long reportage was entirely based on the comment of NA Vice President Alen Simonyan; the comment was ironic. In fact, the balance of report was broken, only the viewpoint of the government representative was presented.
“Media Advocate” has repeatedly stated that Azatutyun is showing obvious bias. The events are presented not based on journalistic principles but on the political preferences. We condemn such behavior and urge to provide impartial information to the public.
