From 03 May, 2018 to 27 September, 2019 “Media Advocate” Initiative has monitored the “Facebook press conference” program of RFE’RL Armenian Service. During this period, 70 programs have aired. The monitoring results show that “Facebook Press Conference” hosted mostly representatives of the authorities (83.2%), the second political force most represented at the program was “Bright Armenia” Party, which is associated with the current authorities (7%). As far as the participation of representatives of neutral and other political forces are concerned, it is 10%.
The above-mentioned result shows that the RFE/RL’s program is not objective in the political arena, moreover, it is obviously biased and it gives its preference to the representatives of the ruling power. “Media Advocate” calls on RFE/RL Armenian Service and those people or bodies having levers on this media outlet, to maintain journalistic objectivity.
