After Gagik Tsarukyan’s announcement that 400 million dollars was not invested in Amulsar and only two tailings were built there, “Lydian Armenia” CEO Hayk Aloyan noted: “The fact that a person, owning a mine, does not seem to understand the serious technological process of modern mining and the needed enormous costs for constructing a good mine, very well represents the quality of Armenia’s mining industry. The mines they have seen, were probably like that; two holes and no environmental measures. And it is those mines that have formed such a negative attitude. Firstly, Amulsar does not have a tailing dump. Secondly, our environmental and project costs alone, carried out by the world’s leading companies, cost tens of millions of dollars.”
