The September 1st issue of “Sunday Analytical with Tamrazyan” had an extensive reference to the arrest of former SRC (State Revenue Committee) Chairman Gagik Khachatryan. Director of RFE/RL’s Armenian Service links Gagik Khachatryan’s rapid professional rise to Serzh Sargsyan, noting that “He was the first high-ranking official to get the title of “Super Minister”. During a discussion with NA MP Hayk Gevorgyan, who, by the way, was the only guest to be invited to the program, Tamrazyan says that Gagik Khachatryan has no business which formally is registered as his own property, everything is registered under the names of his sons and relatives, while there are no facts proving the point. Hayk Gevorgyan notes that law enforcement agencies must find it out. Tamrazyan periodically refers to the past, reminding of Khachatryan’s path, while bypassing the points of many political scientists who raise their voices these days. According to them, Gagik Khachatryan’s arrest had in intention to divert public attention from the Amulsar problem and the Istanbul Convention.
