“Azatutyun” TV acts as a platform for Vahe Grigoryan’s stance support

“Azatutyun” TV consistently continues to defend Vahe Grigoryan’s stance on “existence of constitutional crisis,” regularly providing an airtime to opinions supporting that viewpoint.

On July 15, Karlen Aslanyan interviewed Lusine Hakobyan, Chairwoman of the “Europe in Law Association” NGO, who also insists that “there really exists a crisis: as a justification she notes that even if “there are no demonstrations, people who are decisive, demand and do not want to see Hrayr Tovmasyan.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHQ5JCPy4Fc

The journalist is asking a clarifying question saying whether the interlocutor may insist that Hrayr Tovmasyan has nothing to do with that structure, Lusine Hakobyan brings the following arguments: “Even if we take  constitutional amendments of 2015. Hrayr Tovmasyan, Vardan Poghosyan and Gagik Harutyunyan were the authors of the draft amendments. As we see, in spite of Serzh Sargsyan’s public statements that he will not lay claim to any post in the RA after the constitutional amendments, he laid claim to the post of the prime minister, which led to the fact that the people run out of patience and the velvet revolution last year took place. And that’s just enough for Hrayr Tovmasyan to get up and go home.”

During the interview, the journalist asks mainly directed questions, expecting and receiving argumentative answers supporting V. Grigoryan’s assessment and during an extensive interview there are no controversial views contradicting the views expressed, which contradicts the principle of dissemination of impartial information by the media.

It should be noted that “Azatutyun” TV has released this interview on Facebook on paid advertising principle.
