On June 24-25, the “VETO” movement led by Narek Malyan, carried out a protest in front of the Constitutional Court to restore the overthrown constitutional order. All TV companies broadcasted it except for Public Television of Armenia. During its June 24 broadcast, the TV channel referred only to the Constitutional Court, in particular, that the CC website had changed the word “members” and replaced it by the “judges”. The issue has been unilaterally presented and there has not been a single word on a protest taking place in front of the Constitutional Court in defense of the normal functioning of the court.
“Media Advocate” initiative urges the Public Television to properly inform the public about the events taking place in the country, to keep the balance and to exclude political preferences.
