Anna Hakobyan’s words are not forgotten

From 1 to 10 June, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan’s personality and activities.

35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 81 articles were declared, 16 of which were negative, 7 were positive and 58 were neutral.

Children’s Day celebration organized by Anna Hakobyan, has been positively assessed by the public and media, though negative articles continue to prevail. The monitoring shows that Anna Hakobyan fails to form a positive image of her “My Sep” Foundation. This time, Zaruhi Postanjyan accused the fund of extortion, and the media agencies in general have repeatedly stated that the prime minister wife’s foundation does not serve its charitable purposes.

It is mentioned that Samvel Aleksanyan and a number of businessmen in order to improve their relations with Nikol Pashinyan, cooperate with Anna Hakobyan. The news outlets say that no first lady would be happy if stolen money have been donated to her charity fund.

Anna Hakobyan’s comment on Artsakh, is being again criticized. It is noted that Nikol Pashinyan’s actions are aimed at weakening the army and as a proof they remind Anna Hakobyans following words: “all the victims are in vain”.

The aforementioned shows that Anna Hakobyan should review the activities of her foundation and be more careful when making assessments on the Artsakh conflict.
