PM, NA vice speaker express their opinions, while no one from ARF had a say

On June 5, Public Television’s main report adressed the action of the ARF held on June 4. The reporter says in his speech that members of the ARF party have come to the police station, telling them that they have beaten ANC activist Vardan Harutyunyan. The commentator mentions that the Prime Minister and the NA Vice-Speaker Alen Simonyan touched upon the incident. The Prime Minister specifically states: “They have robbed a citizen, robbed the army, robbed the law-enforcement system, they robbed the state budget, and they robbed everything.”
Afterwards, Alen Simonyan’s opinion is presented, who notes that a revolution in Armenia was implemented without violence. “Today, we have no right to do violence as well. It’s “Pandora’s Box”, which we have no right to open. ”
“Media Advocate” initiative notes that only the point of view of the authorities was presented, whereas the reporter should have also received the clarification from the ARF representatives. In this case, the balance of information on the incident had been violated; it was unilateral because the opposite side was not represented.
