From 11 to 20 May, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the RA Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan’s personality and activities.
34 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 189 articles were declared, 9 of which were negative and 180 were neutral.
There are no positive articles on Arsen Torosyan during the mentioned ten-day period. As far as the negative articles are concerned, they have been written on the topics of Gardasil vaccine and the well-known criminal cases. Arsen Torosyan is accused of receiving grants for Gardasil vaccine and imposing it on the RA citizens.
The media and society consider that Arsen Torosyan is working against David Sanasaryan, besides, the minister’s name continues to be linked to the purchase of hemodialysis equipment.
Arsen Torosyan’s erstwhile high rating at this point has dropped to almost zero, and this process has begun after Nikol Pashinyan has reprimanded the minister. According to Arsen Torosyan’s supporters, the prime minister does not endure the minister’s high rating.
