Recently, Nikol Pashinyan called on citizens to close the court entrances. The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) made a critical statement and the Consitiutional Court (CC) President did not go to the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan. After these happenings, “My Step” alliance organized a gathering that was closed for journalists. By reason of the negligent activity of the alliance and due to the fast orientation of the journalists, an important part of a closed meeting, on the dissolution of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Judicial Council, appeared on the press pages.
Lilit Makunts urged not to disseminate fake news, but thanks to Aravot’s professional journalistic work, the public was able to access the recording of the discussion where one could hear how the discussion was being held.
The “Media Advocate” initiative calls on Lilit Makunts and politicians to respect the work of journalists and not to blame them for disseminating fake news when there are clear facts.
