Who is against Nikol Pashinyan?

From 1 to 10 May, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan’s personality and activities.

34 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.

In the specified period, 4018 articles were declared, 1034 of which were negative, 166 were positive and 3366 were neutral.

From the results of the monitoring, it becomes clear that the public has certain expectations from Pashinyan’s government, and often one may find dissatisfaction with the lack of results. There are numerous publications in the media where people complain of this or that phenomenon, raise questions, reminding Nikol Pashinyan’s promises, which, according to them, have not been implemented.

During this ten-day period, an appeal was made against the Prime Minister. It is noteworthy that the former government official was the one who appealed to the court against the PM.

Nikol Pashinyan’s press conference and the represented “100 facts” were also severely criticized. According to the press and public figures, the prime minister has presented facts that are not the accomplishments of the government; moreover, they may not be called an achievement in general. According to the representatives of the opposition, Nikol Pashinyan preferred not to touch on a number of important spheres and issues.

Pashinyan is also criticized by the supporters of the second president of Armenia and the opposition. Pashinyan is accused of interfering in judicial proceedings and political persecutions.

The fact is that not only the representatives of the press, the society and the opposition, but also former members of their own team are already acting against the Prime Minister.

One may wonder; what will happen if the political field unites?
