From 11 to 20 April, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan’s personality and activities.
34 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 631 articles were declared, 46 of which were negative, 33 were positive and 552 were neutral.
Negative articles on Gagik Tsarukyan have again been linked to MP’s activities in the sphere sports and business. The discussions on “Ararat Cement” had a relatively negative connotation. Media tends to link above mentioned processes to MP’s current policy and the business redistribution issues.
