From 1 to 10 April, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media reports on the Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan’s personality and activities.
34 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
In the specified period, 276 articles were declared, 26 of which were negative, 56 were positive and 194 were neutral.
According to the results of monitoring, Gagik Tsarukyan’s activity has been positively assessed in the past ten days. Positive articles twice exceed the number of negative articles. The main part of the negative articles was written after PAP (Prosperous Armenia Party) leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s raised conservative position when addressing the issue about the LGBT community.
