From 5 to 8 of April, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed the events on “Spayka” company. 34 leading online news agencies were monitored. During the specified period 616 articles were declared.

Those society members who are worried about the lack of investments and the current economic situation in the country, mainly praised the activity of “Spayka”. They note that stopping storing the harvest can lead to a decline in agriculture, which in its turn will lead to deterioration of the socio-economic situation of the farmers. The case against “Spayka” was also linked to the Austrian company which recently entered the Georgian and the regional market. The above-mentioned company will be exporting agricultural products and provide freight-transportation.
Others blame the company for the monopoly position in the field and possible misapplication.
