“Media Advocate” initiative starts a new phase of research. Politicians will now be in our spotlight. All those articles having a reference to a selected political figure will be monitored.
This time we focused our attention on the member of the National Assembly, Gagik Tsarukyan.
From March 1 to 10, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media coverage on the MNA՛s personality and activity. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
During the specified period, 124 articles were declared, 21 of which were negative, 25 were positive and 78 were neutral.
When summarizing the results of the monitoring, it became clear that the positive and negative articles on Gagik Tsarukyan are almost equal․ Most of the negative articles refer to Gagik Tsarukyan’s acquaintances, family members and internal problems of Abovyan․
