“Media Advocate” initiative starts a new phase of research. Politicians will now be in our spotlight. All those articles having a reference to a selected political figure will be monitored .
This time we focused our attention on the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
From March 1 to 10, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media coverage on the Minister’s personality and activity. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
During the specified period, 264 articles were declared, 76 of which were negative, 29 were positive and 159 were neutral.
As a result of our studies, we can state that the number of negative articles on Arsen Torosyan increased especially after the scandalous government session of 7th of March. It is noteworthy that the especially news agencies close to the Government tried to create negative content against Arsen Torosyan.
