“Media Advocate” initiative starts a new phase of research. Politicians will now be in our spotlight. All those articles having a reference to a selected political figure will be monitored .
This time we focused our attention on the Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan.
From March 1 to 10, 2019, the “Media Advocate” initiative followed online media coverage on the Minister’s personality and activity. 35 leading Armenian news agencies have been monitored.
During the specified period, 116 articles were declared, 32 of which were negative, 3 were positive and 81 were neutral.
This kind of difference between negative and positive articles is the consequence of Arayik Harutyunyan’s biased and lobbying activity.
